What is Conference Approved Literature (CAL)?

CAL is Al-Anon literature that has been through a committee review process and has been deemed by the Al-Anon World Service Conference to accurately represent Al-Anon’s traditions, policies, and perspective. All of the literature sold at the NYC Intergroup bookstore is CAL.

How long does it take to get my order?

We’re a volunteer organization, so it generally takes a week to 10 days for orders to be processed.

Can I pick up my order?

CAL can be picked up at 247 West 37th Street, Suite 11H, New York, NY, 10018 during office hours, if the “pick up” option was selected during purchase.

Do you ship orders?

Yes! We ship orders weekly, via US mail. If you’ve chosen the “Shipping” option, when your order is ready to go, we email tracking information.

Can I shop for CAL in person?

Yes! Our office/bookstore is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, from 12:30-5pm and Thursday 2:30 -7. You can visit, browse, pickup and buy literature at 247 West 37th Street, Suite 11H, New York, NY, 10018.

Is Al-Anon literature available in digital format?

Some CAL titles are available in ebook and/or audiobook format from outside vendors. Visit the Al-Anon World Services bookstore for options.
