This policy covers the treatment of all personal information that the Al-Anon Family Intergroup of Greater New York, Inc. (AFIGNY, or “we”) collects when you visit one of the pages on our website . In keeping with Al-Anon Traditions Eleven and Twelve, all Al-Anon Family Groups are called on to respect the anonymity of all members of Al-Anon, Alateen, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Accordingly, we understand that privacy is a very important issue for visitors to our website, www.nycalanon.org, and we take safeguarding our visitors’ personal information seriously.

- In general, you can browse any of the pages of our website without revealing any personal information about yourself. Like all website owners, the only information we gather from general browsing is from standard server logs. These include your IP address and the page you requested. Aside from this standard tracking data, the only other personal information our site collects about you is such data as you knowingly provide in one of our on-line forms, such as your postal-mailing or email address. AFIGNY is the sole owner of any information collected on this site. What data we do collect, we may use for internal purposes to improve the services we provide, such as analyzing how visitors use our site so that we may consider ways to improve it. Keeping the information we collect secure is a top priority for us.
