By tradition, all Al-Anon meetings are open to any member or prospective member of the fellowship. Unless otherwise indicated, all meetings are presumed "Closed" to non-member visitors, such as professionals, researchers, or students. "Open" meetings welcome non-member visitors.

Some Al-Anon groups elect to discuss topics from a particular standpoint, such as Men's, Women's, Gay/Lesbian, Parents, etc. Please check the list below for a definition of each meeting type.
